Interested in learning to play the bagpipes or drums? Are you already an intermediate or advanced
player? Whatever your level of proficiency, you are welcome to join the Piedmont Highlanders Drums &
Pipes.
If you’re an advanced player, can you progress with
the Highlanders? Absolutely yes! We have accomplished advanced-grade competition pipers
and drummers in the band and we foster a wonderful learning environment. We also host an annual workshop with Jack
Lee, one of the greatest pipers (and nicest guys) in the world.
If you’re a beginner, is it possible for you to learn to pipe or drum well enough to play in the band?
Well, that almost certainly depends on you. If you are motivated and are willing to practice and
learn, then the answer is most likely yes! Learning a new musical instrument, at any age, is a challenge,
but as with so many things – you get out of it what you put into it, but if it's something you really want to do,
we'd love to help you.
If you aspire to be a good musician,
or if you want to advance your existing skills, then one great path to that goal is through joining a band dedicated to improving
the skills of its members. The Piedmont Highlanders is such a band.
If you or your child is interested in the Great Highland Bagpipes or Scottish pipe band drumming, then please
contact us. We’re happy to offer you guidance and help.
