The Piedmont Highlanders offer a comprehensive, individualized learning program free of charge for individuals interesting in receiving instruction on the bagpipes or drums and participating in band practices and performances.  Instruction is provided in a group setting and one-on-one, depending on the needs of the student and the availability of instructors.

In addition, band members are encouraged to attend the annual three-day Jack Lee Workshop.  Attendees have the opportunity to learn from one of the world's greatest living pipers.
